Business Operations Verification
Google may require advertisers to complete a Business Operations Verification (BOV) if there are questions about their legitimacy, ownership, or advertising practices. The process involves submitting legal business documents, answering questions about operations, and confirming advertiser identity. Failing to complete the BOV when requested can lead to account suspension. This process is commonly triggered by suspicious behavior, high-risk verticals, or policy violations.
Example: A financial service provider is asked to verify their business license and ownership structure. Until they complete the BOV process, their Google ads are paused.
