When I’m not working I like building scale models of armored vehicles (tanks, mainly). I make this not just a simple “plastic gluing” process, but a “big project” where I have to learn historical details about each vehicle and research images and movies.

My professional experience can be summarized into a single word: Versatility. From working in cafés as a waiter or a line cook to being a guitar and English teacher to working as an Electrical Engineer (since that’s what I graduated from) to doing what I’m doing now: SEO/SEM projects. The achievement I cherish the most is the fact that if I wanted to return to any of the jobs I used to work in, my previous bosses would run parades to celebrate. I’ve always had great relationships with my team members and bosses because of my work ethic and overall personality. But one thing I always remember with pride is when I was working as an Electrical Engineer and had to fix a VSD that stopped oil production from a specific well very suddenly; it was only a new guy I was teaching and I, and we managed to spot the problem immediately, reported it, got the spare parts and fixed it without any problem. It was my first "corrective maintenance", as they call it in that industry!

My very first job was as a line cook. My brother was given a kitchen space to run a buffet lunch, and it was only his girlfriend (at the time gf, now it’s his wife!), him, and I. I was 16 and just graduated from high school. I remember that job very fondly because it was with my brother, and he taught me many cooking techniques and recipes I still use today.

My favorite food is ‘pastelitos’, it’s a traditional food from the city I live in, Maracaibo. It’s basically a pastry filled with anything you can think of, but my favorite is called "papa con queso" (potatoes and cheese). It’s 2 layers of thin dough, you place it on a table, put the fillings on top, and then cover it with the other layer, you seal it, and then you fry it until it’s golden brown. Just delicious.

I wouldn't say I have unique traits, but something I'm very proud of myself is my autodidact approach to life. I'm very curious about how everything works, so by playing around with my PC/Laptops I've learned a lot about how hardware/software, I taught myself to play piano/guitar and music theory. I love languages (and communication in general) so I'm teaching myself to speak French (baby steps though), and I continue to practice English as much as I can and increase my vocabulary. Oh and I'm obsessed with the universe (black holes and stuff) - but it bugs me because we'll never fully know how the universe works, which is probably the reason of my obsession.
