Timestamped Screenshots

Timestamped screenshots are dated, time-stamped images of your website, ads, or account settings that prove you made specific changes or that your content was compliant at the time of Google’s review. These are critical evidence when appealing suspensions because Google often reviews your site at different times than when violations occurred.

Take screenshots immediately after making compliance changes, and make sure the timestamp is visible (either from your browser, operating system, or using a timestamping tool). Include the full URL in the screenshot. Screenshot your entire user flow from ad to checkout, your policy pages, contact information, and any changes you made. Google’s reviewers use timestamped screenshots to verify your claims in appeals.

Example: After fixing malware on their website, an advertiser takes timestamped screenshots showing the site is clean, the security certificate is valid, and all pages load properly, then submits these with their appeal to prove the issue is resolved.
