Payment Verification

Payment verification is the process where Google requires you to confirm your payment method, billing information, or financial details to continue advertising or to process an appeal. This typically involves submitting bank statements, credit card verification, identity documents matching your payment profile, or proof that your billing address is legitimate.

Payment verification is commonly triggered for suspicious payments suspensions, when you’re appealing billing-related issues, or when Google detects mismatched payment information across your accounts. Some advertisers selected for account suspension appeals must complete payment verification before Google will even process their appeal. Failure to verify your payment method can result in continued suspension or inability to appeal.

Example: After a suspicious payments suspension, an advertiser must submit bank statements, a copy of their credit card showing the name matches their account, and proof of their business address before Google will process their suspension appeal.
