Google Verified Badge

The Google Verified badge is the unified trust signal that appears on Local Services Ads indicating the business has passed Google’s verification process. Effective October 20, 2025, Google consolidated its previous ‘Google Guaranteed’ (for home services), ‘Google Screened’ (for professional services like lawyers and doctors), and ‘License Verified by Google’ badges into this single badge. The Money Back Guarantee previously associated with Google Guaranteed was discontinued as part of this change.

Verification requirements vary by industry but typically include business registration, professional licenses, insurance coverage, and background checks for business owners and relevant employees. The badge appears on LSA profiles alongside details of which specific verification checks the business has passed.

Example: A dentist completes Google’s verification process by submitting their dental license, liability insurance, and passing background checks. Their Local Services Ads now display the Google Verified badge, signaling to potential patients that Google has vetted their credentials
