Suspicious Payments Suspension
Last Updated on: October 16, 2025
The suspicious payments suspension occurs when Google identifies unusual or risky billing activity in your ad account. Causes may include using stolen or prepaid cards, multiple failed transactions, mismatched billing information, or accounts sharing the same payment profile. Even if your intentions are legitimate, Google can suspend your account automatically as a fraud prevention measure until you verify the payment method.
Example: An e-commerce startup uses a prepaid card to fund ads. The card is flagged by Google’s fraud filters, and the account is suspended for suspicious payments.
